This series of work was developed during an artist residency at Oracle State Park. In 2024 Arizona Commission on the Arts invited me to participate in a pilot program pairing Arizona State Parks with Arizona Artists. I was honored to be able to complete a 3 week residency at the park which inspired a range of 2D, 3D, and video works. The culminating animated video, entitled “Sharp + Soft” was digitally projection mapped onto the surface of the Kannally Ranch house, the iconic structure nestled in the heart of Oracle State Park. All of the works produced during this residency reflected on the unique dichotomies of form and texture inherent in the park’s stunning landscape.
